The Qatar Airways Cabin Crew Interview. Process and Stages

Un this article we talk about the phases of Qatar Airways interview so you know what to expect that day.
Being an Open Day session, anyone that corresponds the requirements may attend the interview, without prior registration on the site.Usually, the Qatar Airways Cabin Crew Interview can last up to two days:

1. CV Drop

Each candidate comes in front of the recruiter where he submits his resume and photos and responds to 1 or 2 questions such as “Why do you want to be a flight attendant?” or “Why did you choose Qatar Airways?”. After this conversation with the recruiter, they will let you know if you are invited for the next phases of the interview or not.

2. Presentation of the company + English test

First, the candidates will be presented the company and life in Doha. Next, the candidates will have a written English test which lasts 45 minutes and consists of 5 types of exercises: text dependent questions (answer questions related to a given text), multiple choice (choose the correct answer from the ones given), fill in the blanks with the appropriate word, 5 mathematical lateral logic questions and an essay on a given subject. The difficulty level is medium (B1 or B2) and aims to measure your ability to understand English language, grammar and fluency level and so on.

3. Spontaneity test

After the written English test, there is an oral test: each candidate enters a room, extracts a ticket from a bowl and has to speak about the word written on the ticket for 1 minute. During this speaking exercise, the reach test is also performed (one of the compulsory requirements of Qatar Airways is to be able to reach 2,12meters, while on your tiptoes and with your hand raised, without wearing any shoes) and recruiters also ask each candidate about any distinctive marks or tattoos (tattoos are prohibited at Qatar Airways).

A round of eliminations follows next. Those who qualify enter the group discussion phase. Candidates are divided into teams and are given a task to be solved in about 15 minutes.

After the group games, a new round of eliminations takes place. The lucky ones get to the “grand finale”, which is the final interview. Before the interview, they are told about the payroll and benefit package the Qatar Airways flight attendants receive .

The final interview takes about 10-15 minutes for each candidate and focuses on a series of questions based on your CV, previous experience, readiness to relocate and so on.

The final answer will be sent to each candidate via email, about 2 weeks after the final interview or sometimes later (time varies from one candidate to another).

Good luck! Se you up in the skies!

A o Newtonovi. Takhle jasně a rychle se může rozhodnout jen člověk, který nezná nikoho jiného. Tohle značí tak maximálně o ignoranci mluvčího, než o Newtonově dokstalooni.

    Hi my name is Demi
I’ve worked for qatarairways before as ground staff and unfortunately had to leave before my probation period was up as my mother suffered a stroke.

I’ve been trying to come back for the past 3years now .cabin crew or Customer service, I’ve made it to final interviews and get rejected at the last minute.

    Which defiantly kills your confidence

    What could be the reason?

      Hello Rafal,
If you already had the final interview, usually it takes 2 weeks untile they will contact you, but if they are busy with recruitments or they have enough candidates for the moment, they might put you in stand by. We have students who waited more then 6 monts to receive the DOJ, so i advice you to be pacient or you can send them an email. Good luck!

      Hello,
Usually they have to give you an answer by the end of the day so you will know whether or not to attend the second day of the interview. Give them some time and if you see you don’t receive any message, it means they found you not suitable for this job. We wish you good luck and keep trying!

I’m very sad, I was invited for the open day. I went there then the recruiter asked me very difficult questions plus you have to reply right way and give long answers then promised me to receive an email but I don’t think so because when they say it it means a NO.

Hello, i have applied for entry level role job, and fortunately i got shortlisted for an automated interview. I then received another email and a message that i have been shortlisted again to another level. This time they created an onboarding zone platform for me. They require me to complete a form online, this i did and i then went on to forllow the link which requires me to upload my documents, on this part im stuck. It keeps bouncing back to log in page. No follow up pages for me to upload anything on the list of requirements. I even have my blood group tests but nowhere to upload.

      Hello, dear Stewart!

Congratulations on getting this far in the recruitment process! From what you have told us, it seems like you are encountering some technical issues, therefore we advise you to contact the company in order to help you fix that. Because it’s their platform we don’t have access to it, so the best is to ask for their help.

      Good luck!
